Internet speed test
Measures your download and upload speed and ping to the nearest M-Lab test server. It takes about 20 seconds and uses roughly 50 to 250 MB of data, so on a limited mobile plan you may prefer Wi-Fi.

Reading the result
Download is how fast data reaches you (streaming, browsing, downloads). Upload is how fast you send (video calls, uploading photos). Ping is the delay for a round trip, in thousandths of a second; lower is better for calls and games.
Speeds vary through the day and between Wi-Fi and cable. For the truest figure, test close to the Wi-Fi router or on a cable, with other downloads paused.
